In October 2007 signed the Oil Workers' Collective Agreement 2007 - 2009 comprising approximately 67,900 workers, including staff from the current joint ventures, former operating agreements.
In this regard it is noteworthy that the negotiation and signing of this Collective Agreement was made with the United Federation of Oil, Gas, their peers and derivatives Venezuela (FUTPV), which covers most of the unions doing social justice for workers covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement and Petroleum. This contract is achieved, while maintaining industrial peace, substantial improvements in social benefits for workers, allowing the start of the unification of trade unions in a Single Federation of Oil Workers, and improvements in the conditions of retired staff.
To enhance the knowledge and closure of gap in the core areas of the Corporation, signed academic agreements with several universities, including the National Experimental University of the Armed Forces. Looking for democratization recruitment of human resources was developed automated solution called Democratization System Employment Opportunities (DOSE) www.dose.gob.ve , which were recorded at the end of 2007, about 45,000 technical professionals and aspiring .
