The exhibition, organized by UNICEF and Fundación "la Caixa", to mark the twentieth anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, highlights, through Isabel Muñoz's photographs taken in four continents, the greatness of children and youth, and the marked differences in their situations, despite having the same rights.

"We are not the problem, we are the solution," said a group of children in the United Nations Special Session for Children, in 2002.

born in 1989 the Convention on the Rights of the Child, which defines the basic human rights that correspond to children anywhere in any situation. All rights defined in the Convention is inherent to human dignity and ensure the development of children.

The exhibition is in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.

Isabel Muñoz

photographer Isabel Muñoz (Madrid, 1951) is considered one of the best and most committed English photographers. Muñoz used the portrait as a means to approach different cultures and expose injustices. Among his most famous works include series on gangs Guatemala, slavery, the Surma tribe of Ethiopia and Sudan and the effects of the earthquake in Bam. The photographer has recently been awarded the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts.

Manuel Blanco

Manuel Blanco, architect, designer and curator of this exhibition, has been involved in the project from the outset when designing an exhibition by Isabel Muñoz photos come alive and actors, stand-scale, mixed with the public by establishing links with him, explaining their histories and the rights that protect them. Since 2000, the Programme is working with UNICEF in projects dedicated to improving the living conditions of children of developing countries.
